The Audrain-Montgomery County Community Health Assessment Partnership seeks to improve the health of our residents through a collaborative strategy to collect, analyze and apply population health information. The CHA Partnership is sponsored by SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital and members include: Audrain County Health Department, Montgomery County Health Department, Arthur Center, Mexico Area Family YMCA, City of Mexico, City of Vandalia, Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce, Audrain County Commission, United Way and the Mexico Veterans Home.
Through this partnership, Audrain and Montgomery counties have a unique opportunity for its local leaders, health care consumers and health care providers to share their perceptions and experience in obtaining access to health services in our area.
The CHA Partnership is seeking to increase awareness and build support for health needs and health access improvement strategies. A series of community meetings in various locations will be held this summer. As a key stakeholder in this community, we consider your participation crucial to the information gathering stage of this project.
Purpose of the Community Discussion Meetings:
• Increase understanding and awareness of health needs and issues
• Gather input, reaction and advice around health needs and improvement ideas
• Identify local resources
• Determine ways to improve access to health services for the residents of central Missouri
