The objective of this policy to provide guests who visit our facility as participants or spectators for any sport league or tournament event a friendly and welcoming experience, while at the same time minimizing any disruption to the normal daily activities and services our valued YMCA members expect and deserve.
1. Entrance-Participants and spectators should enter the building through the North “Gym” Entrance. (Participants and spectators who are also YMCA members and intend to utilize the facility for purposes other than as a participant or spectator while they are here should enter through the South Entrance and check in as usual.)
2. Concessions and restrooms-When available concessions will be located in the Y Cafe’, located directly to the right as you enter the building through the North Entrance. All food and drink, other than water, must be kept in the Y Café. Restrooms are available in the hallway to the right as you approach the Circulation Desk in the lobby.
3. Use of facility-The YMCA management and staff are committed to ensuring as little disruption as possible to our normal operations for our regular members while we are hosting league and tournament events.
4. If you have any questions or concerns while in our facility please direct them to the staff personnel on duty.
We ask that guests follow the following guidelines:
Don’t bring food or drink, other than water, into the gym.
In most situations we will leave one basketball court open for member use. If no, or few members are utilizing the court then teams may warm up on a portion of that court but should not expect to have it available. The gym supervisor on duty will regulate use of the open court. Non-member guests should not expect to be able to utilize the open court or other YMCA facilities while they are here to watch a game unless they check in at the front desk and pay the day fee. Spectators who are members may utilize the building as normal if they have checked in at the front desk.
The normal YMCA supervision policy is in affect for all visitors to the facility, children under the age of 12 must be under the direct supervision of an adult (15 years of age or older) at all times.
The elevated walking/running track should not be used as a viewing area.
Non-member participants and spectators should stay in the gym, concession and restroom areas unless accompanied by a YMCA member or staff personnel.
NUMBER OF VISITS AND EXTENDED VISITS TO OTHER Ys
Nationwide members may visit other participating Ys as often as they like, as long as they use their home Ys, on average, at least 50 percent of the time. If nationwide members have a family membership or some other inclusive membership arrangement and regularly use two Ys with the same frequency, they need to belong to the Y in the community where they live. Members wishing to end their membership must do so at their home Y.
Nationwide members—snow birds, college students, and seasonal residents, for example—may live in a region away from their home Y for an extended period of time. If they intend to live away from their home Y for more than 28 days, they need to transfer their membership and pay membership dues to the participating Y they are visiting; this Y then becomes their home Y while they are in temporary residence. Ideally, these members will place their membership on hold when they leave their Home Y and, on their first visit to the Y in the new location, activate a new membership there. After the 28 days pass since their first visit, the visited Y can then require them to join.
1. Please leave at least one lane open so you can be passed. When 10 or more are on the track, Walkers inside 2 lanes / Runners outside the lane.
2. Be walking or running at all times. You can stop on the west end of the track to stretch, do pull-ups, etc. but stay close to the wall, not the railing. No standing along the rail.
3. Look before entering the track so you don't step in front of someone.
4. Follow the key posted to know which direction to walk or run.
Single-wide strollers are permitted and may only be used on the outside lane.
