POOL GUIDELINES

1. The lifeguard on duty has full authority and their instructions must be followed.
2. Showers are required before entering the pool, hot tub or sauna.
3. No running on deck or locker rooms.
4. Street shoes are not permitted on deck. (This means shoes worn anywhere outside the pool.)
5. Appropriate swimwear is required in pool, hot tub and sauna.
6. Food, gum and drink, other than water, are not permitted in the pool area. Water must be in a non-breakable container.
7. Persons with open sores are not allowed in the pool or hot tub unless the complete sore is thoroughly covered by a waterproof bandage.
8. Pool will close due to blood, feces, vomit until the proper disinfection can be completed.
9. Pool will close if lightning is present in the general area of the Y.

POOL RULES

1. No diving, twists or flips off the side of the pool. Forward facing jumps only.
2. No Horseplay; dunking, splashing, hanging on ladders or ropes, etc.
3. Non Swimmers must remain in the shallow end, unless they are wearing a lifejacket and are accompanied by an adult swimmer. (18 years of age or older)
4. Underwater breath holding for long periods is not allowed, this can result in serious injury or death.
5. Swim diapers are required for children not toilet trained or anyone with bladder control issues.
6. Abusive and/or foul language and behavior is not permitted in the pool area.

HOT TUB & SAUNA GUIDELINES

1. All Hot Tub & Sauna users are required to take a cleansing shower before entering.
2. No one under the age of 16 is allowed to enter the Hot Tub or Sauna.
3. Do not exceed 15 minutes in Hot Tub or Sauna. Exit for at least 5 minutes before re-entering.
4. Persons with health issues including, but not limited to: heart disease, high or low blood pressure, diabetes, respiratory disease, or pregnancy should get approval from their doctor before using the Hot Tub or Sauna.
5. THE SAUNA IS DRY HEAT ONLY. DO NOT POUR WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID ON THE SAUNA ROCKS.
6. Exercising is not permitted, other than light stretching.
7. Do not use the Hot Tub or Sauna while under the influence of any type of alcohol or drugs (legal or illegal).
8. If you begin to feel faint or dizzy exit immediately.
9. Hydrate before and after using the Hot Tub or Sauna.
10. Lifeguard must be on duty to use the Hot Tub or Sauna.

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult (18 years of age or older.) Under the age of 9 years, an adult must be in the water with the child at all times. 

Help us to keep our pool clean by showering before entering the pool, hot tub or sauna. The hot tub and sauna are available ONLY during Lap Swim and Open/Family Swim times.

Severe Weather Policy: The pool will close under the following conditions

• Cloud-to ground lightning is observed and less  than 30 seconds pass from that flash
• If cloud lightning is occurring overhead.
